Fishing Caloundra headland

Hi all,

Been quite a few years since I fished Caloundra headland - wondering if anyone had fished there recently-ish and how they went?

With the forecast N winds for the weekend and morning low tides, figured it could well be worth a look-see for a dawn sesh.

Any tips appreciated.

Thanks

Benno

I knew I should have made you get your backside into your yak and on the water...

Tragic effort there Sparks... :pinch:

Went ummm... cr@p. when we arrived there was a school of tuna busting up about 50m out and a fair bit of bait around. rigged up a slug, started casting around. Never saw the tuna in close again all morning. Caught plenty of rocks, lost about 15 jigheads between us. Plenty of bust ups 500m-1km out from the headland though. Highlight of the morning for me was a feed of oysters off the rocks.

No sausage rolls to speak of...

Was ok afterwards when the fam came over with the dogs for a big BBQ breakfast. Pretty nice up on the headland there.

Plenty of eyes right about too.
