Who'd have thought there's sharks in the bay, must be all the bait fisho's burleying up the water I've seen a few decent sized sharks while heading out on the yak and caught a few small ones while trolling around the beacon. You should come next time out there its a good spot.

It has always amazed me when people are surprised to see there are sharks in Morten Bay

I have grown up around the Bay and have been fishing, boating and swimming in it and all it's rivers and creeks since i was a toddler

i have seen, whalers, nurse, bull and tiger sharks and was diving off peel island with a 16 foot tiger many years ago

i once had a bully go through a bait net we were using in the boat channel at fisherman's island

i have never worried about the sharks, but i don't go swimming at night or in very murky water.

they are there, they have always been there and will be there for a long time to come.

there are a lot of animals in the bay that will cause more damage to humans, blue rings, stepping on stingrays and razor shells ect

i hope the sharks remain in good numbers because the bay would be in a poor state without them

Was talking to some people at work who ski on the Pine and they were surprised when they saw a shark jump.

Din't think that there were sharks in there!!
