Last minute call because of the wind conditions decided to slip down to the sons place in the GC hinterland. Took Luke with me in case a big snake got me or I fell over etc etc. Arrived 6.30am put smoko goodies in the shed fridge and down to spot one. Luke was a bit slow getting his gear out of the car and I had my first bass before he joined me

I then told him where to cast and moved out of the way and this was his result

We then moved onto spot two, this is usualy my surface spot but as the sun was up I didnt hold much hope, Luke put on a rubber frog he had recently purchased and cast it right up creek as far as he could, he got several hits but no hookups.

We moved further up the system and walked into spot 3, however as we reached the spot there was campers there. After a few polite words were exchanged we decided to leave as we didnt want anything to become uncomfortable, and the fact they had permission to be there and we didnt :(

So we moved across the road to another property where we scored another bass each. We then headed back to the sons place and walked the banks there for a couple more and a swim for me to get back a $5 lure.

After smoko we headed off to another property where I do have permission to fish and done the long walk around the creekbank until midday picking up a few more. During this time we both managed to not stay connected to a lot of bass, they seemed to be side swiping instead of attacking. Might have to sharpen the hooks or get better ones.

All up managed nearly 20 bass which was down a bit on what it can produce but who realy cares it was a great morning and when I am able to walk again I'll probably do it again :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

reflections

Although the water was a little unclear from a recent shower of rain, it was easy to see by the red spots on some of the bass that there had not been to much flow in the creekfor awhile.
