Headed out to the dam this morning with high hopes of finding the bass that were on the chew last weekend. I have been following this school of bass for some time now, Ray and I used to find them up in the tobacco bushs while they were growing up. They move around a lot but at the same time dont seem to head way downstream like most bass. These bass are mostly in the 45cm size with some bigger and some smaller, they are keen to take lures of all kinds.

Anyway managed to find a few that liked lures early then they moved on so I had to go searching again, told Ray there was some big tillies in the area and while I was trying to get some for a pic I found a few bass as well. All up 36 bass with half on lures and the rest on shrimp, one tillie and one turtle.

That red Berkley Frenzy is one of my favorite lures!

Its a good one alright, I only used to use it first up of a morning but now it seems to catch fish all day.

Great meeting you at the NPD gate yesterday morning. Great to see some really good fish too. I have not seen such a big Tilapia for years. From memory they were good fun to catch and not too bad on the plate either.
