Had another great little session this morning with Dad and Bethany and we caught bass on all types of lures! I decided that I would share the amount of pain that each lure would have to endure by using a different one every few fish. From the first cast we knew that it was going to be a good session because I had 5 in a couple of minutes. We all managed plenty with the standout lure being the tn50s. I caught fish on jackall tn50s and tn60s, some on reaction strike lures that I bought off Manni a while back, a spro aruku shad, a deep diving river2sea lure and one of my homemade lures!!! I was so happy to get a fish on it as it's my first bass on one of my lures!

It was hard to get a focused picture as it was early morning.

This was a jackall brown dog, but now it's a jackall blind dog I decided that I would give it a fix up this afternoon so I gave it a donor eye :silly: :silly:

It was a great fast paced session and I'm already looking forward to the next set of bassy holidays!

James, you're a brave fellow sticking your thumb in their mouths with trebles nearby!! Last time I did that it ended in tears (not literally).

Well done some nice fish there and the surrounding scenery is amazing. I love the changing lures every few casts, I like to see what they will take and what colour.

Yeah, I've built up a nice little collection but every lure gets used until it is either lost or worn out! I brought the new rod with me but as soon as I started to use it they seemed to shut down. It was just as the sun was coming up, so that would have been the reason why they went quiet. So I didn't end up getting a bass on it, but I can say that it felt very nice to use matched with a little 1000 stradic FJ. Next trip I think that I will match the rarenium with it, because I wasn't too keen on using a jackall when the stradic was loaded with 3lb braid

Maybe the bass recognized you were using an ex-rod of mine and that why they shut down. :silly:

I had a 1000 Rarenium on it and found it perfect.
