been recommend to get a shimano catana 902 or starlo 902.

Here in vico shimano seems to be very popular.

Just after any other reccomendations.

Hi Bowl,

I've got a Daiwa Sensor Surf 13" mated with a Daiwa Emblem Pro 5000 and it's a cracking rig off the beach. I need to get the monster butt trimmed down, but great rod (and reel). I've got a smaller super lightweight Shimano for the misses, also good gear IMHO.

Mate i have a daiwa demon blood 9ft6. Had it for a few years. Use it off rocks and beach. Can't fault it. Awesome rod. Get great casting distance when throwing slugs and lures. Caught some decent fish with it also. Have a look.
