Hi all i took the yak to my usual spot at coochie today to try it out on an incoming tide. Picked up a steady stream of average bream until the spit area flooded completely then the big bream came ont the chew. Comfortably got 20 bream today with several really good ones.

Something i have noticed is the difference in the take between the average bream and the big ones. The average ones are fiesty and aggressive and often clumsy with noticable bow waves and splashing behind the lure as they try to eat it. The big bream (lets say 35cm+) are really really hard to notice them behind the lure, only giving themselves away with small boils of water under the lure on long pauses of the retrieve. The eventual take is then little more than just noticing that the lure has dissapeared below the surface. I guess they only get big by being cautious.
