Hi boys,

I'm after some suggestions on a decent camping and fishing/crabbing spot within about 2-3 hrs of brisbane for a boys weekend. Will have tinnys and camp gear etc, want powered site but nothing flash, must be salt water fishing, so dams are out,

Has anyone ever camping and fished down at Brunswick Heads.

Was thinking about heading down there for something different.

Haven't been to Brunswick Heads for about 10 years, but I doubt it has changed too much. Great spot with lots of fishing options. You should try to get a waterfront (river) campsite and then you can tie your tinny up at the front of your camp. Good pub as well. Don't forget that you will need to get a fishing licence, but they are cheap and available in a few places there.

I love Brunswick. A great place to poke about.

Another place to consider would be Tin Can Bay if crabbing is a consideration.

Would be good to do another event down there in fact. No need to be a big "competition". Maybe just a social weekend?

Nice. Be ever better If I can tie the boat up at the campsites. Saves the pain of having to launch and retrieve.
