certainly was, kept me glancing up regularly from reading my latest book, 'The Coaches" The men who changed Rugby League

Big innings by Smith and a great batting attitude by Faulkner (34 off 19 balls) forced the pressure back onto the SA bowlers.

Aus 3-1, series won. :woohoo:

Last ODI of the series. tomorrow, Sun 23Nov, in Sydney

Telecast ch 9 starts at 12.30 (AEST) Qlder time

Well, that game had more ups and downs than a Mexican jumping bean.

Faulkner there for the winning runs again, even out scored the wicketkeeper this time round too. :P

Next up are the 4 Tests against India. 1st test starts Thursday 4th Dec at the Gabba.

Obviously it has been a harrowing past week for our cricketing fraternity, now another 1 in a ???? cricket balls has struck again.

An umpire standing in an Israeli league cricket match in the city of Ashdod was killed after being struck by a ball on Saturday, Israeli police and a hospital spokeswoman said.

The incident occurred moments after a minute's silence was observed for Australia batsman Phillip Hughes.

For the first time since India most recently toured Australia in 2011-12, the Decision Review System will not be in use during summer. It is no great shock for Cricket Australia, given how much its Indian counterpart mistrusts the technology behind DRS.

it`s not cricket, but it is cringeworthy

The original 1st test which is now the 2nd test starts at the Gabba today.

Free to air broardcast channel 9 starts 9.00AM Qlder time ( go the MAROONS in 2015)

Steve Smith has been officially named now as vice captain to Clark, and will take over from Clarke as captain when he's not available. Haddin will stay as vice captain when Smith is captain.

The $64 question is: if Australia goes down in a few tests or goes bad in the ODI world cup, will Smith be hounded by all, like Kim Hughes.

Well, there you go! I did not think at the start of Aus 2nd innings that there would be any hope of an exciting finish. Well done Aus, well done India.

Has Watson been given too many chances, it seems to me his starring roles have mainly come when a series has already been decided or the opposition is being well and truly flogged

4th Test Aus vs India Sydney Tuesday Jan 6th

Telecast Channel 9 starts 9.00am Qlder time

Mitchell Johnson has been ruled out of the fourth Test at the SCG with a hamstring injury.

Peter Siddle and Mitchell Starc seem to be the front runners to take Johnsons` spot. Siddle reminds me of Xmas past, it`s over so let`s move on.

What has happened to Pat Cummins, and his new bowling action? 1 test vs South Africa. bowling figures 7-117 -av 16.7

I hope they stick with Joe Burns and then take him to England for the Ashes tour. At present,Rogers (bar injury) will go, after that, looking for a new opener??
