Landbased Bass

Hi Guys,

Thought I'd share some pics from yesterday while out for a quick fish after work. As expected the bass were scattered with so much more water in all our dams. I'm casting in water up over my chest to get the lure to the bass. And reeling the fish in with the reel above my head.

For some reason I always seem to catch a forkie just before I hit the bass. Soon after landing the compulsory forkie I start landing the bass which are fatter with the cooler weather. I end the session with 9 fat bass, losing three bass/forkie to snags and straightened hooks. Hope some of you are getting into the bass. Happy Bassin!

Cheers... Joe.

Thanks guys! Being a pre-diabetic my yearly blood test results today showed a drop of 25% in my blood glucose. It must be all that bushwalking with my backpack losing liters of sweat! Haha!

With water levels up > 2.5 metres in the dams that I fish, all my fav bassin spots are now unrecognizable. Casting to the bass is a challenge bcos of the trees, bushes and long grass all around. And the water lice seem to love Asian food!
