Hi, ive noticed that a few of you brc members are into sharking I am going to give it a go soon.

Just wondering what you do with the sharks once youve caught them, if you release them how do you go about it? If you keep them, do you eat them or use for crab pots ect

No, the hook usually does not fall out. I caught a shark last summer that had my hook, and two others in it's mouth.

I removed all the hooks.

The best investment you could get for catching small sharks is a pair of pliers. That way, you can hold the shark down and pull the hook out.

I get a lot of 6-8 Footers around Mud and St Helena. (Bulls, Bronzies and the occasional tiger)

All yeah round but moreso in Summer.

I tend to eat smaller ones though around the 4-5 foot mark.

Leave the bigguns for sport :)

Thought youd like this pic as its from the river. [img size=300]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/m1172198.jpg
