Hi All,

My family and I and heading upto the Whitsunday's in 2 weeks time for a relaxing holiday on a hire boat for a few days. Im going to have the opportunity to spend a bit of time fishing so all the gear is coming with me :woohoo:

My question is:

What is the ciguatera situation like this far north (im from Brisbane) in fish such as mackerel and coral trout and any other tasty species we may encounter? I know not to take the big brutes as these ones are more likely to carry the toxin

Or should We just stick to steak and sausages?

Thanks

Chris
