Red Line At Npd.

Had a good day at NPD yesterday after I sorted out my red line issue, A while back I read that the colour red was the first colour in the spectrum that fish failed to see so I respooled a few of my reels with some red mono.

I then started to complain that my deckies were consistently outfishing me.

One of my reels started to feel a bit gritty so I just grabbed another rod that was spooled with some old platypus.

The fishing was a bit slow until we got to the float where Jason and Rick got most of the fish ( 19) to my 2.

There were plenty of fish showing on the sounder but they were not really interested in the shrimp.

We then went to the far marker where Rick and Jason again got into them but once again I missed out.

We tried another couple of spots for zilch and saw a few fish in front of the fig tree where I again started making dire threats about swimming to my deckies and I started to fish with 2 rods and amazingly the platypus line immediately started catching fish.In a half hour the red line only caught 1 fish compared to 14 on the platypus.

Looks like a have a re-spool job coming up before the next trip.

Cheers

Ray
