hi guys any words of wisdom on how to freeze bait i would like to go netting over the next couple of weeks and make sure i have some decent bait for the classic but freezer burnt crap is useless now ive emptied my freezer cleaned it out and have a dozen bags of ice at the bottom my mate has an oice machine at work and ive got rid of all the freezer burnt crap and want to freeze some mullet and prawns so that when they defrost they are still nice to use any hints i have tried to freeze the prawns under water in salt water that seemed to work quite well

yeh the saltwater is the go, i freeze mainly whole tuna being scale less they are more resilient, with mullet or gar you want to avoid the air on them. simple cryovac method of bait in a glad bag forced underwater in the sink till the airs gone works well, then transfer them to a heavier more spike resistant bag and do the same.
