wanted Wanted - Old Transom Mount Electric Motor

Does anyone have an old transom mount electric motor that is no good.

It does not need to work as I only want some parts off one for a small project I want to do.

The small and lighter the motor the better.

I just need a shaft and transom mount bracket, nothing else.

I need to make a clamp on adjustable transducer bracket and I am thinking I can make one from an old leccy motor.

Is the 50lb transom bracket the same size as the smaller motors.

Dont know as i do not have any smaller ones, should be plenty of clapped out chinese ones sitting in peoples sheds. An 18lb or 24lb watersnake one would be ideal if someone has one.

Thanks Ray for the old motor.

Here is what we built from it, a portable transducer mount to take into West Papua that we can sit on the back of the long boat without causing any damage to it.

Hopefully this will allow us to use the side scan to pick up any schools of fish throughout the river system instead of the usual stopping and tossing lures to find them.

It will also have a go pro mounted on the top end of the shaft if the boatman does not get in front of it.
