Hi all

i am heading to baffle creek at the end of the month.  Just wondering what the fishing be like?

Any resonce would be appreciated.

Regards Chris

Mate I would be chasing jacks still. Plastics into snags will produce jacks, cod and grunter. I have not fished baffle but similar creeks close by. Zman paddle tails with a 1/4 ounce allows the speed and action needed.

Good thing about this rig is if you get to a corner or channel with a bit of current just cast into that and rip it thought for trevs and queenies.

In short a versatile rig.

check out tackle world`s Bundy fishing reports to get an idea of what`s on offer... when you get up there call in and spend a couple of  $$ buying some top up tackle items and talk to the staff, they will give out more indepth info.

eg: BAFFLE CREEK AND THE KOLAN RIVER... 5 April
Both of these systems have really started to clean up and are producing some quality fishing.  Some of the rock bars halfway upstream are producing some good sized mangrove jack and an odd barra.  Live baits are working well as are soft vibe lures.  Most of the deeper channels and gutters down towards the mouth have been producing some nice whiting, bream and flathead as well as the odd big grunter.  Those anglers putting in the effort also caught some nice prawns and mud crabs.
