Spotted this on ebay seller is in capalaba and user name is realchippy thing he may be an old afo member.

The old abalones are a great strong hull just a bit wet.Do not think it will last long at that price.

Aluminium Clark Abalone 5 m centre console

 

Perfect boat project. Engine 1992 with 50HP Johnson 2 stroke, with oil mixer disconnected. It has not been started in 6 years however back then was just serviced before non-use. The hull and the floor are both solid. There were no leaks when last used.

 

The boat comes with two trailers. They both have lots of rust but still are useable. 

Both trailers and boat are not registered  

·         Bimini with rocket launchers

·         Colour sounder

·         GPS (missing antenna)

·         Other gear

·         Bait board

or alternately search for clark abalone you probably could not find it because has been withdrawn, Bargains like this get snapped up very quickly.

Yes I think it has gone. This would be a good option for you @Simo68. If you can find a great old boat its a good option to put a new motor on it. This one would have needed a new trailer as well. More work to buy this way but clearly a lot cheaper... just don't do what I did and buy a old savage... rolly polly boat.

thanks @Drop Bear I saw one of these for 6500 which I have my eye on, agree with motor, they all seem to 2 stroke or 30-40HP which isnt ideal for me.  These ones have a good rap but are a wet ride.
