what is this fish

Yeah. Just some sort of Sergeant Major.

There are a few different types. But it is in that group of fish. They swarm around your bait and when you strike, they get hooked any where. That's why yours is foul hooked.

We get massive schools of those around Peel Island because they keep going for our berley.

no doubt mate, that's a bunnings fish. you pick em up in big green warehouses with ugly old employees, who laugh alot during their ads.

deffinately a damsel fish of some sort

Yeah a type of Damsel fish. I'm almost 100% sure it is the Bengal Sergeant Major (Abudefduf bengalensis)http://www.meerwasser-lexikon.de/images/1650.jpg, but it might be the Scizzor-tail Segeant Major (abudefduf sexfasciatus)http://www.hippocampus-bildarchiv.de/bilder/thumbs/MRBFT0002.jpg. They're both types of Damsel fish.

were do u find all this stuff cowfish?

I've got a book called \"Wild Guide To Moreton Bay\" Doesn't have heaps of fish in it, but it does have most of the more common species.

There is also a little thing called the Internet:D I get alot off that.
