Headed up to Baroon this morning, should of stayed home. I started off at the Maleny side ramp and travelled right around the dam looking for bass.They must of been sitting in the middle of the dam in over 100 ft of water, because they were no where near the edges.Managed to just find a couple of bass and wherever I went the spanglies were a pest, mustof caught 50 of them.

Baroon seems to hold more spanglies than NPD, just a shame they don't get to a kilo +!!

Nice spot. Such a pretty dam. I bet the cod in there love to eat the spanglies.

I have only ever seen one cod there, I cast a spinnerbait at it and it took off.Havnt heard of any captures for years.

I fished it with Caleb once and the bass didn't show so we switched over to little bream surface lures and had a blast with the spanglies. The place is just full of them.

I came home crook , I think I will give it a miss till winter. To hot and then have to drive home.

That is a PHAT arse spangly! I've only ever seen them up 15cm but thin like whiting... Hope you feel better after being out of the heat... I was under the 80 series replacing axles seals and rebuilding front hubs it was bloody awfully hot out there today...

Sorry to hear that mate. It was hot at NPD yesterday. I needed a few hours on the couch after it. I hope @rayke1938 will put up a report unless he wants me to do it. I have a few photos but Rayke got the good ones... of me... with my PB...
