not sure that the Tiggers actually roared... but they did get the 2 points

Friday, June 28

Dragons 22 v 14 Cowboys

Dragons got the 2 points on offer... 2nd win in 8 games!

Saturday, June 29

another long 80 minutes for Titan fans....

Knights 26 v 12 Broncos

At the end of last season the Broncos were looking fairly good in rebuild mode... now they`re free falling with out a parachute

Eels 22 v 16 Raiders

Why take a winter sport to Darwin?  with the exception of Darwin Correctional Centre guests, does any one else play oval ball games up there....

ROUND 16 results

Thursday, July 4

Dragons 14 v 16 Storm

with both teams down on key players this was an even match up, With good attack and defence from both sides this was a grinding hard fought game.

Friday, July 5

Tigers 16 v 24 Roosters

The Roosters are starting to get key players back from injury and after SOO game 3 should be fielding full strength teams in their charge to the GF.

Saturday, July 6

Knights 20 v 24 Warriors

This game had 2 big surprises for me.

1/ having ‘sworn off’ the Warriors a long time ago, I actually picked them to beat an under manned Knight`s side...

2/ as hard as the Warriors tried to lose, they beat an under manned Knights side...

Sunday, July 7

Sharks 22 v 24 Broncos

Well... who would have thunk

ROUND 17  results

Friday, July 12

Panthers 24  v 2 Titans

another coach pays the price for Gold Coast players enjoying paid holidays on the coast...

Knights 14 v 20 Bulldogs

even when they win, the Dogs unforced errors choke them...

Saturday, July 13

Rabbitohs 21 v 20 Sea Eagles

by 1 or 101, it gets the 2 points on offer...

Broncos 18 v 18 Warriors

who would have thought... a 90 minute draw

Storm 40 v 16 Sharks

Storm, keeps on Storming...

Sunday, July 14

Roosters 12 v 15 Cowboys

hmmm, the Cowboy`s 'powers that be'  must be about to start their end of season football department review...

Wests Tigers 30 v 18 Eels

I tipped for this game with no real confidence, both these teams can be more a danger to themselves than to an opposition team, on the day...

Dragons 14 v 36 Raiders

just as well the Dragon`s were playing against 12, after Cotric  got sent off, with 20 minutes to go, other wise the score line could have looked bad for them

Tipping with my heart still hurts... first plays last... Go the Titans!

Bad tipping.png

I`ve  also tipped the Titans this round, my reasoning is: the Storm are missing a couple of players and with the Titan`s having sacked Brennan, some Titan players need to prove that their dismal performance this season doesn`t fall back on them...

ROUND 19

Thursday, July 25

Sharks 16 v 14 Cowboys

weight of possession in the 2nd half got the Sharks the 2 points...

Friday, July 26

Knights 26 v 28 Wests Tigers

5 tries each, a missed Knight`s conversion, Tigers got the 2 points...

Rabbitohs 20 v 16 Dragons

Hmmm... the 2nd half of this game had more ups and downs than Casanova`s pants in his Hay Day...

Saturday, July 27

Eels 24 v 22 Warriors

Eels got the 2 points... Warriors robbed of the 2 points. This turned into a hard fought game, the lead changed 4 times and scores were level 3 times...

with only a couple of minutes to go Tuivasa-sheck threw a fair off-load to Beale with the Eels line open, only for it to be called forward

Titans 12 v 34 Broncos

like most other teams, the Broncos gave the Titans a touch up. This win puts the Broncos 8th on the ladder but it still doesn`t tell us if the Broncos are improving enough for a finals charge.

Storm 10 v 11 Sea Eagles

decided by another lucky dip ‘pot shot shoot out’...

Sunday, July 28

Bulldogs 12 v 20 Roosters

Roosters did enough again to get the 2 points... if  the Dogs can turn up without the constant ball handling errors, 2020 should be a better season for them

Panthers 18 v 30 Raiders

Score line shows there was some meow in the black cats, but the Raiders roared...

Friday, August 2

Warriors 12 v 46 Raiders

while down 30-0 at half time, Warrior fans booed their team off the field...

Broncos 4 v 40 Storm

well, that told us whether the Broncos were improving enough for a finals charge.

Saturday, August 3

Sea Eagles 30 v 6 Knights

score says it all...

ROUND 21

Thursday, August 8

Cowboys 14 v 18 Broncos

Broncos tried hard to lose it, but 79th minute good fortune smiled on them...

Friday, August 9

Warriors 24 v 16 Sea Eagles

Even when I tip them, I enjoy a Manly loss...

Panthers 26 v 20 Sharks

The OAK black cats hung in for the win...

Saturday, August 10

Dragons 40 v 28 Titans

14th played 16th, one of them had to win neither team was great on defence...

Eels 18 v 14 Knights

Eels managed to overcome a desperate Knight`s side

Bulldogs 18 v 16 Wests Tigers

The Tiggers growled then the Dogs bit...

Sunday, August 11

Raiders 18 v 22 Roosters

I thought, GIO stadium, Raiders home, 10 degree max, chilly wind conditions... Raiders still have not beaten a team in the top 4 this season... apart from themselves

Rabbitohs 16 v 26 Storm

Storm keep on keeping on...

Well I've been procrastinating for years about it, but finally dived in last week and opened a betting account. I usually get 5 tips right each week, so I thought I'd bet on 5 'certainties'.....hence why the Storm and Rabbits lost.
Oh well, I'll gamble the residual and see what happens.

Im not a gambler but hey if you have fun and you only gamble what you can afford to loose why not! Good luck mate.
