Hi all,

 

Headed out offshore with @Luvit Friday night and Saturday.  Not the best day on the fishing front but still an epic day out that we'll both remember for some time.

I think a bit of both. The new paint job on the motor was great for making sure my hair looked good.

Man that’s absolutely epic,what an awesome experience. I’ve always wanted to see one of them but never have. Was that up the cape?

sure was, just wide of brennans.  2nd one i have seen in the area.  last one was right in close to the cape and came right up to the anchored boat - didn't jump in then as there was about 1.5kn of current, bit hard to swim against. 

pretty happy the mrs got me a go pro for my bday for this one though.

That is amazing. What an experience. I saw one down at Boat Rock last year but it just swam past. Also lots of current. 

So cool. I bet the Spanish tastes good. Do they often hit skirted lures?

We were trolling for Wahoo at 12 knots. The spanish was a welcome by catch.

4 x Mac tuna and a tuskie made up the balance of the esky.

it does indeed.  sashimi yesterday afternoon and then some salt n pepper spanno last night.  and some more for lunch today.

trying to eat it all fresh - challenge accepted!

Great day out to catch a nice Spanish with a whale shark visit as well. I wonder wether it was the same 1 I saw at boat rock last year we had the whale shark come right up to the boat like yours did.

We did keep the mac tuna.  I personally don't eat them (I have tried, not really a fan), however, my housemate (pictured below) absolutely loves them.
