Nice mate. Way too much thought has gone into the deployment device... although it is working like a trooper. 

Is the idea that the trees have rotten away and they are being replaced?

As grazing land, the land flodded when NPD was build was mostly clear of trees so there wasn't much underwater structure to start off with.

Research done in the USA has shown that building fish friendly underwater structures greatly improves fishing.

The only drawback to the project is the blowies from zone 2.

oh nice. I didn't know about the lack of trees . There are so many on the banks I had assumed that they used to continue.

Blowies = lowlife yakers who launch from Forgan Cove and proceed into the PRFMA area (as well as the sailing club area).

I'd love to see fisheries do a SIPs permit check at Forgan Cove.
