Where can i buy pilchards from for hook bait.Nice and fresh rather than the frozen type from BCF.I have tried woolies and the fisho next door.

Dunno where you fish but Gem Bait & Tackle @ Jacob's Well is pretty good. Big selection of fresh bait. There on the main road, just after the drive-in cinema. (I think it's Jacobs Well Road?)

like most places Brisbane Sam's seafood on the wharfs fresh seafood scarborough Morgans and Gem i would suggest on the gold coast look for a wharf dock type of fresh seafood place, your bet bet!

I have no probs with those bought from most bait shops or servo's. They are all IQF these days.

There are old threads around detailing how you can order them on line quite cheaply as well.
