queensland Brissie river this morning

Kev and I hit up our 'Spot X' ( like it's a secret! ) with a mate from work. Between 7:30 and 9:30 we got a good sized bream and 3 catties, two of which were huge ( and caught on ultra-light gear by my mate ).

Headed off to work and left Kev there, and then talked myself into going back there at about 11. Caught another 3 or 4 bream including a new PB ( didn't have a ruler, but def. biggest, Kev kept so will measure it for me ).

Kev started poorly but after we left landed a ton of bream, and more when I came back.

Yeh mate thats an ausome catch those are big bream they look over 35cm good catch mate bait or lures?

they were all caught on fresh mullet strips from fish market in china town. and yes they're locally caught, not imported mullet.

I reckon that second bream would be close to a winner for the BRC, was tempted to find a salt-water aquarium to put him in for a few weeks

both of the bream are only 34, 1cm shy of ur 35cm record.

still a nice morning spent on fishing...and hopefully i will catch something big tonight

Damn.. oh well, were both still good fish, musta shrunk a bit on the way home

I reckon the cattys were 50cm+ they were caught on 4 pound braid on a tiny little telescopic rod, Mike had a blast with them. He didn't cope too well with the slime though

I they went on ice than I have no doubt that they did shrink. Fish always shrink a centimeter or two when put on ice:huh:

hey feral, vic is working hard at the moment he took that 400kg marlin away i posted the other wk, hes after 5 big sharks! maybe someone will weigh a beast in for the classic lol
