Sandhills Whiting

Hi GregOug

I don't know anything about the whiting fishery on Moreton, I've only been there a couple times on scout camps.

Here are some websites I've found which might help though-

Hope these helped 🙂

Cheers Hamish

Hi all,

Went over to the Sandhills the other day. I know it is renowned for its whiting but does anyone have any details such as specific areas, water depth etc to find them?

cheers

Greg

Best is when the tide is running so you move around more. Just look for the boats as there are many there.

Around the edges of the deeper holes works.

Make sure you are fishing on the weeds as they don't sit on the sandy spots.

They hunt in schools all around the Rouse and Little ships channel. explore, drift and have fun.

any depth that there is weed on is good.
