Palomar Knot

[Drop Bear]

I found this knot the other day. I love it so much. 

For an old fool like me I find it hard to tie braid to anything. This knot is sooooo easy and so fast. I can do it on windy days on light line no problem.

Thanks for that, I remember my Dad and I learnt that out of my knot book (which I find extremely handy for new things) but I haven't used it since. I might start using it with some of my salmon rigs, seeing as though the line I use (80lb) is like cord...

It is a great knot for sure but @AUS-BNE-FISHO just keep it simple and use a uni knot and kreh loop knot.  I see your in scouts so wont take you long to master these

Hi fishingnut

OK, will do. I currently use the Blood knot/Loop knot depending on fishing and an Albright/Shocker knot to connect lines. 

I will learn the Uni in the coming days, as well as the Kreh Loop knot. Thanks for the tips.

Try the slim beauty its very similar to the albright but just a bit neater

Righto, will do. I think I'll print out a "how to tie" sheet off the internet so it's easier to learn.

Thanks for that Old Scaley, I think it will come in very handy. I will get some old line and an old hook out now and have a practise.
