queensland Npd Magic And Another Pb

Well what can I say, weather was picture perfect and the fish were happy to play the game too.found three different schools and caught them on as many techniques. Also managed another pb for npd. Still chasing a a yella out there they have eluded me for a while but I will find em. Will let the pics do the talking, 36 bass and a whopper forky.

Yeah it was tagged back in 2013, thats by far the biggest catty i have caught and happy to dispose of it too,beautiful day out on the water, days like these a fish is a bonus. Oh and the new trailer winch is THE best thing since sliced bread too should have got one years ago !

Great job on the new PB bass, 45cm is a monster! That forky is truly huge too, my PB is only 45cm (and I've grown up catching forkies in the river, haha). Sounds like you like the electric trailer winch as well, looks like it is a very handy boating tool.

I cannot understand the people who want to release the forkys in NPD when you consider the damage to the fishery they cause,  They have no natural predators in the dam,eat the fingerlings ad compete for the food chain in the dam.

What are you guys thoughts on disposing of the catfish in Tinaroo? I catch dozens rapidly. I caught 12 huge ones (50cm+) on my spot in half an hour. Should I be killing them? Are they good bait?

Some people use them for redclaw bait,  just kill em and return them for the shrimp and redclaw to eat. Kill everyone one you can!

Hey Jaz44

Like fishingnut said, I think you should just kill them. They make a good shrimp bait for me. Slice them in the sides so a bit of the scent will get out, chuck them in a mesh bag, back into your pot, and then you're laughing!  If they're not native to the water you catch them in they should be killed.
