I'm Off For A Few Weeks.

Some of you know that I have prostate cancer. I am getting it cut out tomorrow. 

I hope to be back on the water ASAP.

The reason for this post is to give any of you handsome rosters that are over 40 years of age a kick in the bum to go get a PSA test. Its easy, just ask your doc. 

I got mine early and hopefully it will all come out in one piece and ill be catching bigger fish than all you lot very soon. 

I hope you catch a stack while I'm gone.

Yep, I have mine done with the blood test annually (which is so much better than anally  ).

good to hear mate. A jab in the arm, wont do you no harm but its not as much fun as the nurses finger in your bum....

Like I've said in other threads, best of luck with your cancer! I'm sure it's going to go smoothly and you'll be out catching trophies in no time  I'm sure everyone on AFO will miss you a bit but be happy when you're back

Well that was pretty good. While not fun..... I got out yesterday and the pathology came back today and its a great report. All gone. All out. yay. 

So you will all have to put up with me for a bit longer I'm afraid. Gonna be a few weeks before I can wet a line but not forever.

Taking the Nephew out tomorrow for his first bass session, I got him his first fish on a lure on Tuesday a lovely 58cm flatty so i should have something to report tomorrow

I'd love to hear a report on it too. i love nothing more than stories about kids getting into fishing.

I love nothing more than getting people onto there first fish and especially lures, trouble is hes 24 and 120kg still a kid to me though
