Unlike your bot GregOug, which looks like it would bloody cause a volcano eruption if it went up a creek, kayaks have the element of stealth and do not cause volcano eruptions when the outboard is turned on

thought I had a winner here took a lot of time getting lip grips in its gob to hold on measure with 3 fingers in photo only to findits not eligible.

I normally just either flick the hook out in the water or just grab them behind the fins to dehook

And thank you very much for calling me immature Hamish! Normally I’m just called a silly old bastard!

And, unless I’m very much mistaken, your comments above comprise a ‘sledge’ in themselves. So, you Southside Landlubbers have had it good for a few days but now there is nowhere to hide. I will seek you out and sledge to my heart’s content. Now, I have not read any of the gibberish that has been posted by those south of the mighty Brisbane River as yet but I am in no doubt there will be plenty for me to wade through. Give me a day or so to digest the drivel and I will respond in due course. 

I haven’t looked at the leaderboard as yet but I imagine by now it will be filled with Northsiders’ names (note when the adjective is plural possessive Hamish, you place the apostrophe after the ‘s’ - just a quick English lesson there for you. I imagine the adult, and I use the term loosely, Southsiders have enticed you to miss your schoolwork in a vain attempt to catch up to the esteemed Northside team in my absence). Anyway, where was I?

Oh yeah, I didn’t catch a fish on my Fraser trip. Mainly because I had complete confidence in my Northside team mates to thrash the rest of you in my absence, and didn’t wet a line much. I also found that when I did throw a line in I couldn’t actually wind it back in due to the half ton of snot weed which had attached itself to my line, bait and anything else silly enough to find itself in the water!

Anyway, signing off for now but, never fear, I’ll be back soon enough to respond to your sledges, you Southside Landlubbers.

Pity that you got no fish, and annoying about all the weed. I'd guess it would make fishing near impossible. Some stunning scenery shots there though, so it looks like you still had a good time!  

I like the second last shot, and the fishing shots showed that you at least gave it a red hot crack.

We can always tow my dad in our kayak if there is not enough room for him onboard... But with your boat he'd probably just go flying off when you accelerate!

Could have sworn I posted and asked to be put down for Southside.  Mustn't have pressed submit properly - anyway I know I am not making the leaderboard but I am proud of my biggest whiting so far!  Particularly as i was pumping for yabbies but having no luck and only getting the occasional little crab (not sure what they are called).  Tide was not low enough for yabbies - so chucked them in my bucket remembering i read somewhere you could use them for live bait - shove two or three on your hook.  As i was putting them on my hook waiting for the tide to go out further i saw some fish jumping in front of me - so i quickly cast out my line and within a minute was reeling him in

Great flathead BTW.  Before today my PB whiting was 23cm.  So you never know when.  I was only waiting for the tide to go out further to get yabbies for some fishing tomorrow.
