Hello.
sorry it will be landbased as I don’t have a boat.

cheers

Many people like to use fresh water eel for bait. Its my  favourite. Any jetty in the Logan River normally holds Sharks.

If you are after big ones on a beach you will need to go somewhere like Moreton of Fraser.

Where are you wanting to catch them?

Hey Meandlanta

Sorry, I'm no good around Sydney as I've barely ever been there!

Shakrs are most active when it's warmer, so I;d wait 'till it's Summer until you really get into them. The best bait I have found to be is mullet, but eel is also a good bait, especially when dealing with pickers (nothing will eat it except sharks).

Try live bait also. Mullet, tunas, and oily fish will be your best bet. I'll love to hear how you go 🙂

Cheers Hamish
