Thought I'd chase fatties again and was doing ok then I caught this little weirdo if you zoom in on it its got red spots and eye brows it was only a little fella so I let it go. I wonder if it's mum got it on with a rock cod..

Never come across 1 of them before ellicat , at least I got some normal ones too

Yeah, they are pretty unusual. I've only caught one and have seen maybe two others on AFO in 14 years.

Got 3 normal fatties too this was the biggest out of the lot the other 2 normal ones were in the mid 50's the weird one didn't even make 30cm but managed to swallow a 4inch plastic

They are not an usual catch at a couple of spots in the Broadwater and around the western side of Straddie.
