 I’ve seen a lot of things like this . And TBH they just a scam . I’ve heard of swimmers still being attacked while using these things they don’t make any difference what so ever besides make the user feel safer. The only real thing that I can think of that repeals sharks but not other speices is their own blood . Shark blood is known to to stop sharks from eating

That is surprising to hear. It has not been my experience but I don't have any data to base that on. 

I have seen them go into a frenzy when one of them ate one of their mates. 

In the bad old days sharks were cut open and the other sharks would eat them.
