Was just wondering if any of you fishos have heard of mullygar before? 

i got chatting to a fella at the boat ramp the other day and he was talking about how he uses mullygar for bait. Ive never heard of it, nor can i find anything when googling for it.

Welcome to AFO. Any chance you may have misheard him, and he said mullet gut? That used to be a really popular bait for bream. I haven’t heard of mullygar, but someone else may have.

Yeah they probably meant mullet gut never heard of mullygar before I looked it up and it just came up with some religious stuff lmao

I’m pretty sure you’re joking but just in case you’re not they cannot breed as they are 2 completely different speices

Welcome to the forum. 'Mullygar' sounds vaguely familiar to me but can't pinpoint it. Like @Old Scaley said, Mullet Gut is a popular bait so could've been that. You can often buy it from most BCF/Bait shops instead of getting it yourself, as 'Tweed Bait' does Mullet Gut packages (don't know the quality though ).
