Rods for sale - live fibres and others.

Hi all,

going through a bit of a rationalization of my collection and decided it might be time to move a few friends to new homes. Purely because I don’t get to use them as often as I’d like and they are currently collecting dust.

 

1. Live fibre 8–10kg 8ft spin, one piece. Great rod for rock fishing, bay fishing and light offshore. Used to run 25lb on it. Few general “signs of use” but overall very functional. SOLD to @GregOug

 

2. Live fibre 15-24kg 8ft spin, one piece. This rod is a deadset beast. So much grunt but still great feel. Used to run 50lb for reef fishing, LBG fishing and live baiting pelagics. Casts heavy baits and lures out of site from the stones. Few general “signs of use” but overall very functional. Sad to let this one go but I just don’t use it any more to justify keeping it. PRICE DROP - $125.

 

3. Live fibre 4kg 5’6” baitcaster and shimano caenan 100 reel combo. Reel spooled with 15lb braid. Rod and reel both in good nick, great combo for trolling from kayak and float lining in the bay. PRICE DROP - $130 for the combo.

 

4. Shakespeare custom stick 6-12kg 7ft overhead. Rod in pretty good nick. Great for bay and floatlining. PRICE DROP - $25.

 

5. Ugly stick 5-6kg 5’6” baitcaster. PRICE DROP - $25

 

6. Raider 5-8kg 7’ spin. Bought as a spare for a mate to use. Hardly used. SOLD

 

7. Raider 4-7kg 7’ spin. Some signs of use but generally pretty good nick. SOLD to @AUS-BNE-FISHO 

 

8. Penn ultimate 12-15kg 6’ overhead. Used to use this one when I was researching and was catching a lot of sharks. Landed a 22kg GT off 1770 on this rod. PRICE DROP - $20

I’ll take the live fibre 8-10kg. I won’t be back until Thursday though. Up at Tin Can Bay with the boat for a few days of, hopefully, catching some fish. Going to try the area between Inskip Point and the area where the barge lands on Fraser, and the bottom end of Fraser itself. Fingers crossed.

I’m keen on the 4-7KG Raider. Since Dad’s making me spend my pocket money I was hoping you could just cut me a deal.

some price changes added if anyone is interested

Used the new Raider (No.6) today and it was like new. Dropped a good snapper early and then landed a juvi cobia at 55cm. Cheers benno.

You did good! 

The closest someone has come to getting a Cobia in my family was Dad, years and years ago, on a fishing charter.

He got the biggest one of the day in vision. As they were about to get him it spat the hook! Everyone else caught a fish that day...

Hey @benno573, I note that you have now removed the price next to the rod I am buying,  and replaced  it with sold to me. Unfortunately I didn’t write the price down and I’m getting forgetful in my old age. So, before I forget, can you just confirm that it was $15?
