queensland Decided to have a go on the snapper "Finally"

Hey All, 

After seeing @Allnighter with his few snapper from the southern bay, I thought Id get myself on the water for a go before this southerly change came through.

Managed a quick trip last night fishing for only about 2hrs, 

Managed a 3 fish,  with 2 around the mid 70cm  mark &  with my last fish going around 88cm and being released to fight another day. Gave a up a good fight in the deeper water of Moreton Bay.

Bag limits and are bag limits. At the end of the day it's only a fish. Not worth losing you Car and boat over or a hefty fine. 

I love fishing for them year in year out.

Great work. That would've been a cracking session. Hopefully some lucky bloke (or sheila) will catch that biggun when he is a metre long!

Man, those snappers sound tasty . Ever since eating one, I reckon they've become one of my favourite fish on the table.

I don't mind a feed a fish here and there either. im not a fan of the large fish for the table. Personally I enjoy eating snapper around the 50-60cm mark.

I find these bigger fish the flesh gets a lots of muscle sinue in the back half of the fillets. Normally keep 1 big one if we are low on fish as the kids love regardless.

Work,kids and house reno's been keeping me busy mate.  Wish I could fish more often but have take my opportunity when I can.

Totally understand mate, I haven’t used my boat since school started back in January .... cricket then rugby for the kids plus open homes (on the house hunt) and of course a smattering of bad weather .
