With the next several days of weather looking crap, i decided for a solo session today. Southerly wind was bloody cold and the bay was somewhat choppy although it was forecast to drop slightly after lunch for a brief period which it did only for an hour or two.

Managed a snapper on board , a quick pic and floated it back in the landing net in the water while bending over the side of the boat and sent it back down happily on its way  

Thats probably it for me on the snaps this winter, might do a camping trip next week before i go back to work

Nice snapper mate, well done. We are out on the eastern side of Green today and yes, it was rather chilly particularly once the wind picked up after lunch. Copped a couple of sprays on the face (centre console ....) on the way in which was rather cool ....

Yep i got a bit wet too, sort of strange feelin wearing a hat to minimise sunburn, yet having a jacket on and tracky daks and i was still shivering....

I even stopped on the way back, freezin me nuts off, to catch sum whiting to please the mrs.....

I was only thinking about Blakesley's the other day and that I'd like to take my boys (9 & 6) there - I'm keen . Just missed buying a 2.7m kayak (my 9 yr old is growing out of the kids kayak we have, plus having one each for them would be good) on Gumtree a week ago, which would be handy to paddle out to the boats at anchor. @tugger may be keen to camp there too?
