Fraser Trip

Day 2 of a 3 day trip. No fishing, just site seeing. A lot of driving trying to cram in as much as we could.

It's not the best production due to infamiliarity with software and some snipping not working, but you get to see a lot of the beautiful interior forests and scrubs. Night driving on the beach sucked as my spotties are set way too high. Nearly came a gutsa dropping into Eli Creek and then at Yidney Rocks in the dark, but managed to see them both at the last minute.

This trip was supposed to be all about giving my son some sand driving experience/tuition in his recently acquired 80 series. Unfortunately there was a lot of rain and the tracks and beaches were like tarmac except for the odd bumpy bit. Seems we'll have to go back....bugger. Haha

Are there 2 videos, @ellicat? The top one doesn’t work for me (looks the same as Hamish’s vids last week) and then there is a second one that is just a bit longer than my attention span that keeps wanting to buffer. Glad to hear you had a good trip.

Ahhh yes.

I remember years ago on one of our annual trips, one of the boys had a brain fart and decided to go "exploring". Weather was terrible for offshore so I thought what the hell. 

6hrs later and all we saw was lots of beer bottles and tracks like that. Oh, and a few lakes that were to far to walk to....in the state we were in.

I see you’ve taken inspiration for videography from the Benny Hill show. Everything seems to happen very quickly at Fraser. Must be why I prefer Moreton, much more relaxed pace over there.

So good. Makes me want to go back. Hopefully November trip for some spotties. 

Love all the forest shots mate. How did your son enjoy himself? And how did the car go?

It's a great place, Hamish. You just need to pick your times to go. I've been thrice in the last 2 years and it is so much better than it was 10 years ago. Can't wait to get back there.

All good, Robbie. Everyone had a bonza time despite the weather and full-on agenda. Everyone was in bed by 8.30/9 o'clock. Would you go by land or sea ? Maybe an AFO event ??
