What's your best catch on a little bait jig? 

Mrs somehow brought in a bonefish on a cheapy $2.50 bait jig a few months ago. Can't remember the exact size but hell it went hard - the saying fun on light hear was very true! 

 

Have also managed to pull in a 30cm school mackeral as well. No idea how the line didn't get snipped.

I’ve got a good sized (70cm) catfish up north on a bait jig, while on a fishing holiday.

That's a fine catch on a bait jig !! The girls must have secret mojo when it comes to bonefish -  A mate's girlfriend caught one spinning off Cape Moreton, of all places.

I've never caught anything noteworthy on a bait jig, unfortunately. Apart from little squire.

Not mine specifically but I was there. We were fishing for Jew in the Clarence River earlier this year. One of the guy’s girlfriends was into fishing but not that experienced in the salt. She was happy to catch the livies on a bream rod with light nylon and a bait jig. We got busted off a couple of times on 40lb gear. I was on my boat with her boyfriend and she was on my mate’s boat about 19 metres away when her rod buckled over. We assumed that she had hooked a decent bream because there were heaps around.

After about 10 minutes we figured it must be something a bit better. About 15 minutes later my mate slipped the net under something and over the side came a very healthy jew. The little jig hook was right in the corner of the mouth. She handled it like a pro and didn’t stop smiling for the rest of the trip. I blacked out her face because I haven’t asked her if it is ok to share online.

Best I've heard of is Youngy catching a Cobia on one of DI.

That Bonefish is a cracker! People travel around the world to get one like that. 

I have caught a few small tailor (not sure how they didn't snip me off) but nothing really noteworthy.

Pulled in a smaller Spanish off Moreton bait grounds a few years back. 

Didn't hook it as such, rather it got tangled up, I'd say after trying to eat the slimmy/yakka that would have been hooked up as I had a few in the bait tank already. 

Went like a steam train and it was on one of those hollow bait jig rods.

Some crazy catches there guys love it surprised how well the little hooks can hold up, but also how easily they break all the time!

Dropped one on a show off 1770... 4 well legal sized hussar came back up, would have been 6 but the bottom 2 busted off.
