Anyone Cooked up blue Soldier Crabs?

Anyone cooked up blue soldier crabs before if so how were they?Getting hungry and anything’s sounding appealing right now

Pass. No meat and gritty I imagine. Worse than yabbies (which I have tried).

Just deep fry them. You could deep fry toe nails and you wouldn’t know what they were.  I have tried deep fried insects and they were just crunchy and could have been chips.

Or you could just go buy an apple.

These are different fish to those we get in Aus. Do not eat the Aussie ones - they will kill you.

Catching toadies while cousins of our Mangrove Jack are swimming around them.

I think they call them red snapper. Over there jacks are what we call trevally.

They are called mangrove snapper they look almost exactly like mangrove jack

Yea jack crevalle are a type of trevally found in America . Americans also call their tailor bluefish . Quite confusing lmao
