A dull day but successful day with not much rain 70 bass and one tandan. Pleasant surprise for me with a gift of a new reel from an appreciative decky. Most of the bass from the upstream point of Ians island and the isolated trees just upstream from there. Had the eagle stalking us all day and it was rewarded with several barred grunter plus a 36cm bass that did not release well.

Bit over 50 for tandans in hinze caught bigger in mondy

We used to eat the Tandans that we caught in Mullumbimby Creek, they were firm and ok. I wonder if there are bass back in there now? 

My mum is from there and caught bass as a kid but there were none when I was fishing there. I think the banana farmers were fond of dumping chemicals and oil from tractors/cars etc into the creek...
