Scenic rim maroon dam

Hey guys and gal's, I am headed to maroon dam at the scenic rim for a few days and keen for a fish. I have vague knowledge about chasing bass and perch and I want to use lures. I'm chasing a whole new setup as my last 2 rods went into the drink thanks to a friend haha. Anyhelp will be appreciated. Will be going to BCF so may be limited.

From what I've learnt on here, spinner baits in the shallower water around the edges and deep divers (5M+ in purple) when trolling. Jigs are good when you come upon a school on the sounder.

Depending on your budget, an Abu Garcia Veritas in a 3-5KG size, or Atomic Arrows rod, would probably suit nicely. They are good all rounders for bait and lure fishing.

In terms of reels, a Shimano Sienna, Nasci, Sahara, or Sedona in a 1000-3000 size would suffice.
