Round Eight results…

Thursday, April 28

Broncos 16  vs. 7 Sharks

Well, fancy that… the Sharkies were slightly off key, and we got to see some positives of the Bronco’s  maturing  potentials.

Friday, April 29

Titans 4  vs. 18 Panther

so were the Cats a bit off or are the Titans better than I thought…

Rabbitohs 40  vs. 22 Sea Eagles
was the send off for putting the ball carrier in a dangerous position warranted?…
some say yes, some say no..  Intentional or unintentional, I never want to see another Alex McKinnon outcome on any footy field.

Saturday, April 30

Warriors 21  vs. 20 Raiders
fancy that…. Matt Lodge is now the leading contender for the ‘Best Supporting Actor’ Award

Bulldogs 16 vs. 12 Roosters
well, Gus’s broadly reported team talk and training session, seems to have focused the Doggy players…
if he feels the need, will Gus revive Nathan Brown’s 2003 side line ‘gee up’ tactic on Trent Barrett…. just thinking aloud, of course

Eels 4  vs.35 Cowboys
The Eels looked nobbled and the Cowboys had the 'topped up on go-go juice' look

Sunday, May 1

Knights 2  vs. 50 Storm

^^          ^         ^^    ^^

Dragons 12  vs. 6 Tigers

When Winnie placed his head into his hands, Piglet asked Tigger “ has the dark returned”.

Wow the Broncos look awesome. I hate them but being born and bred Ipswich (Langer and Walters from here). They are looking good and I really hope Walters continues as coach!! How many forward passes did cook throw???

Yep, good win, particularly without Haas (and Capewell). Yes, a few forward passes from Cook - he'd be a good quarterback at NFL ......... 🙂. To top things off for me, I picked them ....... yeehaaaah!!!!!!!

@Gad I bet you are loving this score line 😎. Can’t believe Manly we’re favourites for this, particularly given Brisbane were at home. Crazy. Broncos gelling well and you can really see the confidence they have now. Souths must be ruing letting Reynolds go ……  Oh and @Drop Bear, tame your celebrations down slightly, I can’t hear the commentary….. 🙄😜

Cobbo and Oates combined for five tries, 429 running metres, seven tackle breaks and three line breaks as Brisbane also sparked flashbacks to the 44-10 thrashing of Manly in the club’s first premiership match in 1988 at Lang Park.

“I just moved on and turned up to training and just worried about the game. I tried to put in for the boys and do my job and help out the team,’’ Cobbo said.
