In great news for, Rugby League in general, Gus Gould welcomes him saying "he
will bring a new voice and new ideas to our players".......
personally, I believe Gus is onto some thing there' with the 'new ideas' bit 😆

Yeh dogs in bit of turmoil, hopefully with new coach they lift.... Me off bottom of tips.

Seems like most teams (with Melbourne the exception) will go through a couple of seasons where nothing they do seems to lift confidence and get them over the line. Last season I thought the Dogs and the Titans were the 2 unluckiest teams in the comp, often losing games by a couple of points that they should have won.

If they wanted to win, they would have done it. At least they would have found new players and even coaches... But they don't want to. They just play their game, have fun, get money 🙂

Knights 12  vs. 36 Broncos
Knights looked good for a while, ha a couple of calls not go their way, but…
the Broncos had the defence and ignited the afterburners.

Friday, May 20

Tigers 36  vs. 22 Bulldogs
Half time Tiggers 18-0….55 minutes Doggies with the momentum…Tiggers 18-16
60 minutes a Doggie is sin binned…..

Eels 22  vs. 20 Sea Eagles
Eels last ditch effort get the choccies.

news out of Sydney on Sunday is, Tommy’s Turbo blown out turbo/shoulder, requires a season ending surgical rebuild.

Saturday, May 21

Dragons 24  vs. 18 Warriors
4 tries each… 3 from 4 conversions, and a penalty goal, got the Dragons home… at home.

Cowboys 36  vs. 6 Storm
hmmmm, Storm done by 30 points, 2 rounds in a row.
Well done Cowboys… Felt and Taumalolo both left the field with (knee) MLC injuries. Felt’s considered severe.

and again the winner is…36

Rabbitohs 12  vs. 32 Raiders
Sticky’s a happy chappy.
Bunnies are sinking, Broncos are rising… the Reynolds factor.

Round Twelve results..

Thursday, May 26

Storm 28  vs. 8 Sea Eagles
Manly was unfortunate the BOM did not put out a Flash Flood Warning.

Friday, May 27

Panthers 22  vs. 0 Cowboys
Panthers with a tidal surge.
Score line doesn’t tell it, the Cowboys put in a grinding defensive effort, with very few
 scoring opportunities offered to them.

Broncos 35  vs. 24 Titans
1st 40 minutes was a Titan’s tidal surge… 2nd 40 was a 31-0 Bronco’s tsunami.

Saturday, May 28

Warriors 16  vs. 24 Knights
the forecast for both was not great, but the Knights got the drought relief

Poor old Warriors, the Dolphins are already the Bookiies `odds on` favourite to win a Grand Final before them…

Rabbitohs 44  vs. 18 Tigers
Bunnies came in from a 1st 40 minutes 12-18 half time deficit… 2nd 40 minutes… Bunny Tidal Wave

Sharks 16  vs. 36 Roosters
Roosters surf while Sharks drown….

Sunday, May 29

Bulldogs 24  vs. 34 Dragons
as expected the Dragons out surfed the Doggies

Raiders 20  vs. 28 Eels
like 2 great oceans meeting there was a lot of wash and boil in this match, the Raiders finished on simmer.

I am a bit worried about Ponga as fullback.

Same here - his form has been inconsistent for the knights however that was partly due to the whole contract saga with his dad and the knights.

I think he will be motivated playing in the QLD jersey, something that he doesn't always look (motivated) when playing for the knights.

Round Thirteen results:

Thursday, June 2

Titans 6  vs. 32 Cowboys

Honestly, the Titans need to get rid of their Powder Puff blue, and get some Maroon in their culture…

Friday, June 3

Panthers 30  vs. 18 Bulldogs
Honestly, even with a change in dry food, the Doggies can’t firm up…

Saturday, June 4

Sea Eagles 44  vs. 12 Warriors
Honestly, the NRL Dolphins will probably win a couple of Premierships, long before the Warriors….

Sunday, June 5

Raiders 22  vs. 16 Roosters.
Honestly, the Raiders played the 2nd 40, hoping not to lose..
