You'd be suprised Paul...

We'll have a few racked up by the time we meet up with Ian.

I'm going to bring my luere tackle box as well, depending the on the visibility as to weather I try them. If you haven't tried prawnstars before I've got a few....they are great

Yeah only seen a few pornstars, never tried one though.

The boat is hooked up and good to go. If you are up for it.

Got to get up in 3 hours anyway.

Big change in the water from yesterday. So much fresh from the logan running through fishermans channel into canaipa then out to the bar.

How'd you guys go? We caught bugger all around the pin so headed around the top of russell and caught a couple bream, small flatty, and the boy caught a nice sting ray, good practice for him.

Well the water was ok on the incoming tide but it changed to coffee on the outgoing. Species caught were pretty much what you catch in logan or brisbane rivers. Sting Rays, Catfish, Bull Sharks, Bream, Flathead, Shovelnose Sharks, Mosses Perch.

In general not much action at all. About one of each species over 13 hours of fishing. The day itself was a good one and the wind picked up to about 7 or 8 knots in the afternoon.

Here is webbfunk with his amazing ray lol [img size=450]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/Fishing_Expedition_Jan0608_018.jpg

And I picked up my first Bullie on 25lb line no trace.

Was good to meet Ian and family for a few snags and a chat. Next outside trip game on mate. Thanks for being a great deck hand and temp skipper Jordan, you are welcome to come again. Get you outside for some bigger action.

here is my report!

crap!

well as Cray said the water was fine! and we had the usual swan bay runnoff! but that was all expected for me? the problem was all the other boats anchoring 5 ft from us! there was way too much traffic to catch anything! but i still managed to boat three little bream:( :P

as i said earlyer i just wanted to see if the bream were biting? and my answer is a big NO! so i put my feet up and had a few pipes and relaxed the rest of the day!

i also tried the power lines after we had a moast enjoyable lunch with Paul and Jorden (great blokes but were very tyred by that time) at cabbage tree picnic grounds.

the water around there was as booty said a nice chocky brown! and we didnt even get a bite there?

so all in all it was as my misses said "not a very busy day on the rods!"

you guys didnt miss much at all other then good company!

pics to follow and i will throw in 1 or 2 extra from our last trip to the gold coast canals!

Did you guys try plastics or any types of lures?

no i didnt dan!

i picked up a few from tackleworld before i went but there wasnt the room to use them!

i was watching some guys in a tournament boat flicking plasticks for about an hr or so with no luck at all so i didnt even try my new ones?

i think i will wait for good conditions before i try them and my new rod i also picked up there aswell!
