queensland HB Firsts, its a start. 9-1-08

Hey all

Today Callum and i were determind to get our first bream on hb's, so we headed to the breaky creek/bretts area... Fished sx40s hard along the rockwalls, untill i finnaly had a hookup my first bream on hb.. a tiddler at 18cm but a start . Was very happy, went to take a pic but my worst nightmare had came true, well almost, my brand new 1 day old camera i had baught after loosing my other fishing at the tweed wasnt working , found out later that it was luckily just dead batterys phewf so sorry no pics. Oh btw that was on a sx40 in 307. A few follows here and there of midget bream from bout 5cm to 15cm.. We walked down to near camerons rocks, and washed up we found about 20 tennis balls haha, thats our backyard cricket supply for a year as we were picking up another we noticed a small dingey mored up. Callum said somthing along the lines of " I wonder whos boat that is" We then heard a weird voice coming from the bus stop above us, a freaky looking druggo drunk weird old man was muttering "If you Fing touch that dingey ill Fing touch you!" we were out of there quick smart with him mouthing us off as we left, we were a good 200m down the track and he was still standing up staring at us at the bus stop. Anyway we went down to these house boats/party boats n stuff, and started flicking around, we thought we were safe from the weirdos when a man started yelling out of his houseboat window " If you #$#% cast hooks or bait on my house ill ##%^% get my dog onto you" or somthing along thoose lines and he was just raging at me but i couldnt hear the rest, i was just nodding trying to keep him calm . Casted under theese pilons a few meters out and was bringing my sx40 in and it was right neer my feet in about a foot of water when i was on , a nice lil cod of 20cm haha another first for hb, that was it for my fish for the day. Found a realy cool spot where callum then got his first bream on Hb, a little bigger @ 21cm.. We got many good touches and follows, and on 2 or 3 occasions the bream followd it and made a big splash to try and grab it just as we were lifting the lure out of the water. Was a very enjoyable day. Im probly going breaming with troy tomorrow to nail some bigger ones. Thanks...

nice, what tide did u fish? i tried the creek b4 but no luck

The tide was full high going out when i got the bream. IT was at the mouth of the creek on the park side.. Yeah i dont rate the inside of breaky creek much the main river is better.

Yeh there is alot of weridos around the city i would not suggest going down there at night lol yeh was very enjoyable even if the bream were a bit small

I'm still yet to catch a fish on a lure around that area:(

There are a lot of weird people there:dry:. We once had this weird pedofile come down and try to give us advice on shaving, fishing and starting talking crap about John Howard. Was a bit creepy:dry:

Sounds like an 18+ kinda area. Maybe you guys should invite lee (PCsolutionman) along for security next time lol:laugh:

I have only had friendly people come and say gday but I've seen a few shady characters. Haven't been there many times though. I hate fishing in the brissie river land based.

If you guys want to get onto some fish on hard bodies in the Brissie river I had a fair bit of action on that rock wall at Pinkenba land based. Better at a high tide. Watch out though I got smoked by something pretty good there. The water is clearer up that way so you have a bit more of a chance of the fish seeing your lure.

LOL! thats our old hunting ground, that fella on the house boats name is Con, when we started fishing there he was really nice, but then some #$%$$# went down and broke his window with one of their sinkers and he now hates people fishing there.

heres the deal jason u take me to the tweed and we will take u to the spot lol jks or was i :ohmy: yeh tim and i have fished pinkenba sunken wall before i got 2 flatyys 3 cod and a mossses perch last time on plastics the cod where only little and the biggest flattys was 51cm i think enjoyable none the less

I think I've met that guy before, he's had several rants at me about 'them asians who catch stingrays there and leave an aweful mess and are going to ruin it for everyone'
