Land based Fishing Location in Brisbane

Hey just moved to Brisbane and I'm keen to get out on the coastal areas for some fishing. If anyone could point me in the right direction. I like targeting pelagics, bream flathead and the like. so if anyone could help me that would be gold.

you could try little rocky point at cabbage tree point!

land based there is always pretty good for flatties and bream!

Nudgee Creek/beach and Schultz Canal are full of bream and flatties. If you're looking for a feed though go to the sunny coast and fish the mooloolaba canals.

instead of telling you to go anywhere in particular have a look on google earth for the sort of cover the target species like some place near you thats the best advise i can give if you dont have gooogle earth try google maps just as good

Nudgee road goes over it near the airport. Look under the brisbane rivers and creeks section of the forum and there's literally dozens of threads about trips there.

A word of warning though, it's not very pleasant there. It has bream and cod and flatties but it's dirty and full of dodgy characters. Don't go there alone at night.

Saw your post, where is Cabbabe Tree Point and is there any good fishing in the Brisbane river. I am also a newbie and keen to take up fishing again.

just follow stapylton road from the highway all the way out and then there is a turn off that says cabbage tree point just take that right and takes straight there, for the river try any where around the mouth at the moment as this rain has slowed every thing up in the upper reaches.
