Hey all

Went down to troys secret spot in the river today and had my best ever lure session, and it was with hard bodys. I only have 2 good hardboys, 1 sx40 and 1 ck40, the ck40 is a very shallow diving lure so it is not realy suited to the area, i got all my fish on the sx40, troy got all his on his chubbys. I ended up with 7 bream, about 3 or 4 of them legal to the fork biggest going 26cm to the fork, and 1 midget at 12cm!!. I also go 2 small cod about 20cm. Troy got about 25 bream biggest going 28cm to the fork, and about 4 or 5 cod. Its an awsome spot, cant say where but its in the lower brisbane river . Troy got absolutly smashed by a brute of a bream wich busted him off. Another highlight was troy bringing his lure to the surface with a nice bream following it, the bream missed the lure, troy just dangled it back down and the bream whoofed it down without hessitation. We both got many follows from bream right to the surface and sometimes when you hooked a bream it would have 1 or 2 mates following it. Troy also had a follow right to the surface from a BIG bream 35cm odd, it had a go at his lure and missed, he kept his chubby in their twitching it, it just stared at it then went back down to the depths . Had a great day out and thanks to troy to taking me to his secret spot and helping me out with heaps of tips ect. Got my new pb bream on lure 26cm to the fork, or 28cm to the tip.. ill upload some photos a bit later, thanks..

just did the propper count and it was actully 40 fish all. The bream are realy agressive at the moment thats for sure.

i was usin 6lb fireline with 8lb fluro leader, troy the same but with 4lb fireline.

Also, with the Jackall Chubby's, can you give me some hints on how to work them? I have one and I am yet to catch a single fish on it:(

Kev gave me his Jackall Chubby because he couldn't catch anything on it. I got a 50cm flathead on it first try lol.

haven't got a bream on it yet but only used it briefly.
