Went and hit Ewen madock this afternoon around 3pm, hopeing to bag my first Toga;) I fished till just after dark, I got one hit only :angry: and it was form a bass on a mask vib 10 mins after i got there, didnt hook unfortunatley. spent the rest of the time throwing spinnerbaits,jackals,poppers, fizzers etc but couldnt get anything. OH besides a bearded dragon that saw my popper and decided he wanted it:unsure: but he wasnt gettn it

hoped to bag one today with reports of good numbers being caught just a few days back, oh well it was a nice arvo on the water

Bad luck mate but the rain has made it a bit tuff at most dams the last couple of days maybe try again next week if it settles a bit

the barom is really low lee, was abit higher a few days back

Yeh i knew the barromoter was low, but I had to give it a go i was sitting here doing nothing lol. 2 mates hooked 5 between them about 5 or 6 days ago in a session, they landed 3 2 in the 60's and one just over a meter, as well as 5 bass in the middle 40's. Right place right time i guess

The rumour is Ewan Maddock lost most of its Bass over the wall in the big flood last year, been very few caught since then apparantly.

Is there any pools below the wall where you can fish landbased

There was a post on Ausfish last time when it overflowed the local were fishing the pool just below the spillway .

Apparently it was illegal as it was closed season then and once the fish went over spillway they become wild fish.

Had to drag the the fish up about 15 ft.

Was a follow up post where council were catching and relocating fish back into the dam.

I saw that Ray most of the action was near the dam wall, I wonder if you can fish a little further down stream maybe

not sure dino, I think its mostly just runs in flood, so you would have to find a pool, or they may get down into the main creek
