line advice

hi guys need some help on choosing line. i want ur opinion on what type of line to use, i fish most times with 4lb line ,it could be mono when i lose it with tying knots with braid lines. i do like the feel of the braid lines. what knots do u think r best with the braid line.most types of fish caught r flathead/whiting/bream etc. cheers will

mate i dont really understand your post, are you looking for better quality braids or mono. and what has the knot gotta hold hook? leader to mainline? water from going up your bum hahaha just jokes, i use a uni to uni knot to hold my main line and leader together. and locked blood knot for hooks or loop knot for jig heads and lures

well kriso i use a mix of both lines ,im wanting to get peoples thoughts on what they believe is the best. i mainly lure fish. hope that clears things up. p.s im trying to figure out which line to stick with cheers

yeah mate braid with fluro carbon for leader. for what your catching 4lb braid and 6lb leader would be okay. if the area is quite snaggy and the fish fight dirtier go a heavier leader. i use black magic and nitlon leader found to be good. i use fireline crystal for my braid.

ditto for lure fishing and i swear by platypus platinum for bait fishing its by far the best mono ive used

I used to use Platinum, then a guy from Tackle Warehouse showed me Shogun Ice Blue and it is the best I've ever used. It is far limper that the platinum and it is really thin for its weight.

hey guys,

for bream SP's i use 4 pound fireline Crystal and a 4 pound or 8 pound Nitlon Flurocarbon Leader (depending on where i fish).2000 reel, and trion 2-4kg.

for jacks, Jew, Threadfin, i use 15 pound Tuffline braid with a 20 pound Sunline Rock Hard Leader. 4000 reel, and 6-8 kg IM-7 berkely pro range 1 piece.

for inshore snapper, bream off the rocks,or an all rounder, i use 12 pound Sunline (Castaway) with 8, 12 or 20 pound fluro leader. the 12lb sunline is as thin as my 4lb fireline crystal. 2500 reel and trion 2-4kg.
