that little guy looks like a similar shape to the scat I get in the river, but a very different pattern. I'd have to check against pics of scat that I have caught. It's probably something completely different! That blue "cod" looks awesome. I've never seen anything like it. Is there a nuclear power plant down that way by any chance?

That blue cod is awesome!

The stripy fish is common. Dont know the exact name but in the noosa we just call them zebra fish. Notorious bait stealers.

I reckon thats a pretty cool session with two totally random species of cod.

Thanks for the photo's.

Id love if someone could identify that blue as i have never seen anything similar...

Yeah it looks like what we used to call rock cod when I fished up around CQ. Used to catch them all the time. You could actually dangle a bait straight down next to a cluster of reef and watch them come out and take your bait. The blue one I've never seen before. A Blue Grouper??

Is the last cod a potato cod? if it is they are endangered, so pretty rare catch!

its a wire netting cod, they are a pest fish.

Also known as a Honeycomb rock cod

The other sucker might be a Black Saddled Rock Cod which are rare/endangered.

I don't think they were endangered until you got the second one LOL:P

Looking forward to the definitive answer on what pinkey's caught.
